RAISIN SCONES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. milk
1 egg

SPRINKLE TOPPING:

1 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. sugar

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl. Add sour cream, oil, milk, and egg, stirring until the dough clings. On a well floured surface, toss the dough lightly until it no longer sticks. Then knead the dough 12-15 times and divide it in half. Pat each ball of dough into a 6 inch circle with a slightly rounded top. Brush top of each with sprinkle topping above. Cut each circle into 6 wedges. Place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake 10-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with butter or jam.
