CHOCOLATE CHIP BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 pkg. chocolate chips

Add brown sugar to melted butter. Cool. Add egg and vanilla to mixture and blend well. Add sifted dry ingredients gradually. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour mixture into greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut in squares.
