PERFECT CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. dairy sour ream 1 egg 1 1/2 tbsp. dry onion soup mix 3/4 c. soft cracker crumbs Mix above ingredients; shape into tiny balls. Roll balls in flour blended with about 1 teaspoon paprika. Brown slowly in about 2 tablespoons butter. 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup 1 can water Combine above and pour over meatballs. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Pour into casserole. TOPPING: 1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. poppy seeds 1/2 tsp. celery salt 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1 tsp. instant onion 1 tbsp. salad oil 1/2 c. milk 2 tbsp. melted butter 1 c. cracker crumbs Combine dry ingredients; add oil and milk to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Melt butter in separate pan and add bread crumbs. By tablespoon roll mixture into bread crumbs and place on top of your casserole. Bake uncovered in a hot oven (400 degrees) for 20-25 minutes. NOTE: You can substitute turkey for ground beef, use Egg Beaters, lite sour cream or skim milk. |
