BEER CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (cream well)
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves, optional
1/2 tsp. salt, add to creamed mixture, blend well
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. beer, add beer & finish mixing

Bake at 350 degrees in a 9 x 15 inch pan for about 45 minutes in a greased and floured pan.

FROSTING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
