2 ozs. tartaic acid
2 lbs. white sugar
3 lemons, sliced
2 qts. water
4 egg whites (frothed)
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 oz. wintergreen

Boil first four ingredients for 5 minutes; cool. When almost cold add egg whites, flour and wintergreen. Add 2 tablespoons of mixture to a glass of water, soda may be added for effervescence.
