BASIC BANANA PUDDING 
6 eggs, separated
3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 lb. vanilla wafers (Jackson's)
6 med. ripe bananas, sliced
Vanilla flavoring to taste

Mix egg yolks, milk, 1 1/2 cups and flour; cook in double boiler until medium thick. Let cool. Put wafers and bananas in large Pyrex dish in alternate layers. Pour mixture over. Beat egg whites until stiff, add remaining sugar and flavoring. Spread over pudding. Brown in 350 degree oven until golden brown.
