SCALLOPED APPLES 
4-6 apples, peeled and sliced into eighths
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. water
1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange apples in a 2 quart buttered baking dish. In a mixing bowl mix together sugars, flour, spices and salt. Stir in the apples and put in the baking dish. Dribble water on top and dot with butter. Cook for about 1 hour.
