MANDARIN ORANGE GELATIN SALAD 
1 lg. pkg. orange Jello
1 1/2 c. boiling water
4 c. vanilla ice cream
Grated orange rind
1 can Mandarin orange slices, drained

Set out ice cream so it will barely soften. Dissolve Jello with boiling water. Add juice from Mandarin orange slices. Decorate bottom of gelatin mold with some of Mandarin orange slices. To gelatin mixture blend in ice cream, grated orange rind and balance of Mandarin orange slices. Pour gently in gelatin mold and chill until firm.
