GINGER-APPLESAUCE BARS 
1 pkg. gingerbread and cookie mix
1 c. natural applesauce
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix gingerbread mix, applesauce, egg, and water in medium bowl. Stir vigorously with fork until batter is uniform color and consistency. Stir in raisins and nuts. Bake in 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes. Spread with Browned Butter Glaze when cooled.

BROWNED BUTTER GLAZE:

3 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3-4 tbsp. milk

Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat until brown. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Stir in milk, 1 tablespoon at a time until spreading consistency.
