MANDARIN SALAD 
2 heads Romaine lettuce, washed and chilled
1 bunch green onions, chopped
4 ribs celery, sliced diagonally
1 zucchini, in matchstick slices
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1 avocado, sliced and added just before serving

You can add anything to this salad that appeals to you.

DRESSING:

1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
Dash of Tabasco

Shake dressing in a jar and chill.

SAUTEED ALMONDS:

To a saute pan add package of sliced almonds and 1/4 cup of sugar. Saute over low heat until the sugar melts and coats the almonds. Stir often and cool on a plate. Add these just before serving and toss salad. Serves 4.
