SCALLOPED CABBAGE 
1 med. head cabbage, shredded
2 tbsp. flour
1 sm. onion, sliced thin
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 c. grated cheese
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. hot milk
Salt & pepper

Drop cabbage into boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes. Drain well. In a 2 quart dish, spread half the cabbage, followed by half the cheese, sugar, onion, salt, pepper and the 2 tablespoons flour. Repeat for second layer, top with bread crumbs and pour hot milk over all. Dot with butter and bake for 30 minutes, at 350 degrees.
