BERRY COBBLER 
1/4 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar

Cream above together.

1 c. flour, sifted once
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Sift above together.

Add 1/2 cup milk and flour mixture to sugar mix, stirring alternately. Mix until smooth. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan.

No. 2 can of berries; drain and save liquid. Pour berries over batter, then sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over berries. Pour 1 cup of berry juice over all. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.

I always double the recipe. The juice bubbles down through the batter. Mmmmm. Any fruit can be used, fresh, canned or frozen. You can always add a little water to fresh fruit to make liquid.
