HOMEMADE BREAD | |
1/2 cake of caked yeast 9 c. flour 1/2 c. warm water (dissolve yeast in this) 1 pkg. dry yeast 3 1/2 c. milk, warm 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. shortening 1 tsp. salt Put flour into large bowl. Make a hole in the flour. Pour in yeast, milk, shortening, sugar, salt and mix. Let rise, punch down and make out loaves or rolls. Let rise again and bake bread at 375 degrees for 40 minutes and rolls at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. |
