HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
4 eggs, beaten well
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. whipping cream
Whole milk

Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla until well blended. Add whipping cream and stir just until blended. Pour mixture into ice cream freezer and finish filling with whole milk up to 4 inches from top of can. Freeze in electric ice cream freezer as freezer directs or for approximately 30 minutes.

CHOCOLATE SAUCE FOR ICE CREAM:

2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
6 tbsp. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate in water over low heat, stirring until smooth. Add sugar and dash of salt. Cook and stir until smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla.
