SOUR CREAM COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. thick sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix ingredients in order given. Refrigerate dough for at least 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 425 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes. (Makes a cake-like cookie, tops will be light.)
