1 slice wheat bread
1-2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
Salt & pepper to taste
1 slice Cheddar or American cheese

Cut out center of bread with 2 inch round cutter. In small skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add bread slice and cut out and cook on one side until golden brown. Turn bread over and break egg onto center hole. Reduce heat and cook egg until almost done (it still has several more minutes to cook). Season with salt and pepper. Place cheese over egg, if desired.

Cover and cook just until cheese melts, about 1-2 minutes. Serve immediately and include cut out if you wish. Makes 1 serving.
