1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. ground pork 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tbsp. cooking oil 3/4 c. flour 1 egg 1/2 c. milk 1/4 tsp. salt Mix beef, pork, pepper, salt and nutmeg together. Form into small patties about 1 1/2" in diameter. Place the oil in a long coffee cake tin and heat. Put the patties into the tin and brown on both sides. Remove from heat. Make a batter of the flour, egg, milk and salt. Set aside for about 30 minutes, or until the browned patties are thoroughly cool. Pour the batter over the meat patties, place in a 350 degree oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until edges of the batter is well browned. |
