ORANGE SPICY NUTS 
After you prepare these tempting orange glazed nuts, you will find it difficult to have some on hand for all occasions - festive or not.

1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. fresh orange juice
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. ground mace
1/8 tsp. fresh grated nutmeg

1 pound mixed nuts - i.e., pecans, macadamias, unblanched almonds, peanuts, walnuts, cashews.

Cook sugar, butter, orange juice and seasonings in large skillet or saucepan over low heat until butter melts and the sugar dissolves completely.

Increase heat to medium, add the nuts and toss until coated. Spread in a single layer on foil lined jelly roll pan.

Position rack in center of oven. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and transfer nuts to large sheet of foil. Separate with fork. Cool completely and store in airtight container.

Bonus: Can be frozen, or kept in refrigerator indefinitely. Bring to room temperature before serving. If sticky, warm in 250 degree oven about 10 minutes.
