MERRY CHERRY CHEESE CAKE 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling

For first layer, mix flour, pecans, brown sugar, and butter; press into 7 x 11 inch baking dish or pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes; remove from oven and loosen it up with a fork. Lightly press it back down. Cool. Combine the cream cheese (softened) with the confectioners sugar and vanilla. Beat with mixer. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over nut mixture. Top with cherry pie filling. Chill for 12 hours.
