WELSH COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. + 1 tbsp. milk
5 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 to 1 c. currants

Roll out dough 3/8 inch thick; cut with cookie cutter (2 1/2 inches). Bake on ungreased griddle at 350 degrees. Flip like pancakes.
