GINGER-NUT CAKE 
1/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Whipped topping

Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg and molasses. Add sifted ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition until smooth. Stir in nuts and put in greased 9" square pan. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Cut in squares and serve warm with topping. Makes 6 servings.
