BREAD PUDDING WITH WHISKEY SAUCE 
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
5 eggs, beaten
2 c. heavy cream (Pet or Carnation)
Dash cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. raisins
12 slices French bread, toasted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and butter. Add rest of ingredients. Brown bread in oven and let soak in mixture for 5 minutes. Arrange in pan and add remaining mixture. Cover with foil and place in a larger pan filled with water. Bake 45-50 minutes. Remove cover last 10 minutes to brown. Should be soft when completely baked. Serve with Whiskey Sauce Topping.

WHISKEY SAUCE TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1 c. cream
Dash cinnamon
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. whiskey
1/4 c. water
Nutmeg for garnish
