PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
8 slices canned pineapple, well drained
1 pkg. white cake mix (brand calling for milk)
1/2 c. Pet milk
1/2 c. water

Melt butter in 9 inch skillet. Remove from heat and sprinkle in brown sugar. Arrange pineapple slices on sugar.

In bowl mix cake mix, 1/2 of milk and water called for, beating hard for 1 minute. Stir in rest of milk and water; beat hard for 2 minutes. Pour batter over pineapple. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) until cake pulls from sides of skillet or about 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Let cake stand 5 minutes in skillet before turning out.
