EASY CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

In a medium size saucepan, bring to boil the butter, water and cocoa. Sift together the flour, sugar and salt, and add to liquid mixture. Add beaten eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and baking soda, and mix well.

Pour into greased, 10 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

TOPPING:

3/4 stick butter
5 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

While cake is baking, in a small saucepan, mix butter, milk, cocoa and vanilla. Heat until butter is melted. Beat in powdered sugar and nuts, and mix well. Spread on hot cake. Cool cake thoroughly, eat and enjoy.
