EDNA'S PUFF PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt

Add 3 tablespoons cold water and mix with fork. Divide dough in half and finger press into two 3 x 12 inch strips on ungreased cookie sheet.

In saucepan combine 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon almond extract and 1 cup flour all at once and beat. Add 3 eggs, one at a time and beat after each until smooth. Pour onto the 2 strips of dough. Bake. Cool. Then frost with 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 1/2 tablespoons water. Add enough powdered sugar to make frosting right consistency to spread. Cut into squares to serve.
