SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 1/2 c. half & half, scalded
1 stick butter,
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 slightly beaten eggs
2 1/2 c. crumbled saltines
1 pt. oysters (save the liquid)

Scald milk. Remove from heat and add butter, salt, pepper, and oyster liquid. When slightly cooled, add beaten eggs. Crumble saltines into deep-type casserole; place oysters over crumbs and pour liquid mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
