SHAKER SUGAR PIE 
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 unbaked pie shell (9 inch)
2 c. whipping cream or half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter, cut in sm. pieces
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar and flour in small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over bottom of crust. Blend cream and vanilla in small bowl. Pour into shell. Top with butter pieces. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake until filling has thickened, but still moves slightly when pan is shaken. Cover pie edges with foil if crust browns too quickly. Bake about 65 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on rack before serving.
