FRUIT TURNOVER | |
4 canned crescent biscuits (refrigerator type may be used) 4 sm. apples or peaches 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. liquid artificial sweetener Water Peel and slice fruit. Cook fruit with a small amount of water, cinnamon, and sweetener. Place cooked fruit in the center of each rolled-out biscuit. Fold biscuit corner to corner. Press edges together with the tines of a fork. Sprinkle the top of each turnover with cinnamon. Bake at 400 degrees until brown. 4 servings. One serving (1 turnover) = 1 bread exchange, 1 fruit exchange, 1 fat exchange; 145 calories; 24 gm. carbohydrates, 2 gm. protein, 5 gm. fat. |
