SOUTHERN PEACH COBBLER | |
Best ever! 1 (20 oz.) can sliced peaches (with juice) 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, divided 1 cup milk 1 cup sugar 1 cup self-rising flour 1 tsp. vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish with 1/2 stick butter. Dump a whole can of peaches (juice and all) into the greased dish. In a separate mixing bowl, combine milk, sugar, flour and vanilla. Mix until lumps are minimal. Pour over the peaches evenly. Then, with remaining 1/2 stick butter, slice into 5 parts. Place chunks randomly over the mixture in the casserole dish. Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes or until golden. Cobbler will firm as it cools. Best served when warm with vanilla ice cream on top. Submitted by: Brookie B. |
