TEXAS PECAN PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped

Cream butter and sugar gradually until light and fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
