WASSAIL 
2 c. sugar
2 qts. water
1 tbsp. whole cloves
6 sticks cinnamon
3 tbsp. candied ginger
2 qts. orange juice
1/2 pt. fresh lemon juice
1 gallon apple cider

In large pot combine water and sugar; boil 10 minutes. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves and ginger and stand in warm place 1 hour. Lift out spices with straining spoon. Add juices and cider; boil and serve hot. Serves about 25. Can be stored in empty cider jugs.
