FRESH CUCUMBER PICKLES | |
4 c. sugar 4 c. white vinegar 1/2 c. salt Add: 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed Put in jar and shake until it is dissolved. Set aside. Put medium size onion in bottom of each jar. Then put thin sliced cucumbers in and cover with syrup. Refrigerate for 5 days before using. These will last in refrigerator up to 10 months. 1/2 recipe makes about 3 pints. |
