JAM CAKE 
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3/4 c. sweet milk
1 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. candied cherries
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. grape jam
3 c. flour (self-rising)
1 c. butter or Crisco
1 c. pecans
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice

Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, beat well. Add jam. Mix flour and spices, add alternately with milk to egg mixture. Mix chopped nuts, cherries and raisins with a little flour. Fold floured fruit into egg mixture. Makes 3 layers, or loaf pans. Bake 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees.

ICING:

2 eggs
1/4 c. butter
1 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sweet milk
2 tbsp. flour

Mix and cook until thick, spread between layers. Dot with cherries.
