HONEY MERRY CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1/3 c. soft shortening (Crisco)
1/3 c. white sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. honey
2 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
(No Vanilla)
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add egg; mix well. Add honey and beat until mixed well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to above mixture on low speed then add lemon flavor. Mix only until blended. Chill dough. Roll out and cut into shapes. Grease cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes until a very light golden color. Frost as desired. Keep in tight container if a soft cookie is desired. Keep dough refrigerated.
