FRUIT DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
2 heaping tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oil or shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. milk (or dry milk powder)

Mix all together. Drop by spoonful into boiling fruit. Cook until the interior of the dumplings are not sticky. Prepare fresh fruit by boiling with sugar to make sweet stewed fruit.

Canned fruits usually have enough liquid and sweetening already. Just dump in the pot and bring to a boil.

Dried fruits need a little extra time boiling to rehydrate.
