1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion (optional), chopped
1 tbsp. salad oil
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach
16 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
6 oz. can tomato paste
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
7 oz. pkg. med. shell macaroni, cooked
1 c. shredded cheese
1/2 c. bread crumbs
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 c. salad oil

Brown first 3 ingredients. Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain, reserving liquid; add water to make 1 cup. Stir spinach liquid and next 5 ingredients into meat mixture. Simmer 10 minutes. Combine spinach with remaining ingredients. Spread into 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Top with meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. 8 to 10 servings.
