NAVY BEAN SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. navy beans
2 1/2 qts. water
Ham hock or meaty ham bone
1 c. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1 bay leaf

Wash beans; cover with cold water and soak overnight; drain. Place beans in crock pot. Add water and ham hock, onion, salt and pepper and add bay leaf. Cook on auto 10 to 12 hours; or cook on low 13 to 15 hours; or cook on high 7 to 8 hours. Yield 8 to 10 servings. Serve with corn bread; yum yum!
