TEMPURA SHRIMP | |
1 1/2 lb. cleaned shrimp 3/4 c. flour 1/4 c. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. water 1 egg Dust shrimp with a little flour. For batter, mix all dry ingredients. Stir in water, then egg. Beat until smooth and frothy. Dip shrimp into batter. Deep fry 1 to 2 minutes. Turn as needed. Drain. May use fish, de - boned chicken or vegetables in batter. |
