CHERRY SQUARES 
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 cans pie filling (cherry or other)

Mix first 5 ingredients like pie crust. Beat eggs, vanilla, and milk; add to flour mixture. Pat 2/3 of dough into a jelly roll pan with 1 inch sides. Spread pie filling evenly over bottom crust. Roll remaining dough out; cut into strips; criss cross over filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Great picnic dessert!
