BASIC MEAT SAUCE WITH FROZEN
CHERRIES
 
1 qt. fresh frozen tart cherries, defrosted
1 c. water
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. vinegar
Red food coloring, as needed

1. Drain cherries, reserve juice. 2. Combine cornstarch and water; stir cornstarch mixture into cherry juice. Cook until thick and clear. 3. Add cherries, vinegar, and red food coloring.
