BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 lb. butter, melted

Add:

4 chopped onions

Cook until the onions are done. Add the following ingredients:

2 gallon ketchup
1 c. vinegar
1 c. prepared mustard
1/4 bottle Tabasco sauce (small bottle)
1/4 bottle Worcestershire sauce (small bottle)
1/2 bottle lemon juice (small bottle)
3 cans of beer

Mix the following dry ingredients and add to the above:

2 (1 lb.) boxes dark brown sugar
1/4 c. black pepper
1/4 c. salt
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 tbsp. red pepper
3 tbsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. celery seed
3 tbsp. sage

Cook 45 minutes on medium heat. Use a very heavy pan as this tends to scorch. This sauce may be frozen in pints or quarts and thawed to be used. It also keeps in the refrigerator.
