SWEET POTATO PIE 
1 unbaked 9" pie shell
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
4 oz. whiskey
Juice & rind of 1 lemon
1/4 tsp. mace
Powdered sugar for garnish

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, potatoes, whiskey, lemon juice, rind and mace. Mix together well. Pour mixture into pie shell and bake at 350 degrees until filling is firm, about 40 minutes. When cold, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
