2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
1 egg

Combine dry ingredients; set aside. Cream shortening and sugar; add vanilla, milk and egg. Mix in flour. Shape 1 teaspoon dough into ball; flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
