SWISS STEAK 
8 lean cube steaks, about 4 oz. each
1 can mushrooms, diced
Flour
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp. beef base & 1 qt. water, mixed
1 chopped green pepper

Pour hot water mixture in large baking dish. Place floured cube steaks, overlapping, in baking dish and add onion, mushrooms and green peppers over meat. Cook 1 hour or until tender, basting often. Move steaks around a little so as to cook better. The beef base can be used as gravy when steaks are done.
