SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE FOR TURKEY
OR PORK
 
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 sm. can crushed pineapple (or tidbits)
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. catsup
1/2 c. coarsely chopped green pepper
Water chestnuts (optional)

In saucepan mix sugar and cornstarch. Add enough water to pineapple juice to make 1 cup. Add liquid to dry ingredients and bring to boil. Stir in pineapple, green pepper and chestnuts. Add desired amount of cooked pork, chicken or turkey.

For a low cholesterol dish use chicken breast or turkey. Turkey scapula (white meat chunks) available at BilMar Country Store is excellent. Serve over rice.
