STRAWBERRY CRINGLE CAKE 
2 tbsp. strawberry flavored gelatin
1/4 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. strawberries, mashed
1 1/2 c. sour cream
1 pkg. (2 layer size white or yellow) cake mix
Whipped cream

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Gently stir in strawberries and sour cream. Refrigerate overnight. Bake package cake mix according to directions on box; cool. Split each of the 2 layers in 1/2 to make a total of 4 layers.

Put layers together with chilled filling and place in a tightly covered container. Chill for 3-4 days. About 1/2 hour before serving, frost entire cake with whipped cream or other whipped topping of your choice. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
