STRAWBERRY SHORTCUT CAKE 
2 c. (2-10 oz. pkgs.) frozen sliced strawberries in syrup, thawed
1 pkg. (3 oz.) strawberry flavored gelatin
1 (2 layer) lemon or yellow cake mix
2 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside. Prepare cake batter according to package directions.

Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm or cool with ice cream or whipped cream.

Makes 12 to 15 servings.
