STEAK WITH SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak or venison, 1/2 inch thick
1 tbsp. fat
1 envelope brown gravy mix
2 c. water
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf

Cut meat into 1 inch squares. In a large, skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot fat. Remove meat from skillet; add gravy mix and water. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients. Return meat to skillet; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot buttered noodles. Serves 6.
