ARMENIAN FLAT BREAD 
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk OR 1 tbsp. vinegar plus 1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar (may reduce)
1 stick butter

Combine all dry ingredients and cut in softened butter until consistency of fine bread crumbs. Mix in buttermilk with a fork. Divide into balls and roll each thinly on heavily floured cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sesame seed or poppy seed and lightly press into dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Good snack with butter or as an appetizer before a special meal.
