KNUDSEN COFFEE CAKE | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. butter 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. sifted cake flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda Cream butter, butter, and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add flour, baking powder, and soda that has been sifted together. Beat until thick and well mixed. Place half of the batter in a buttered 9 inch tube pan. Sprinkle with half of topping (see below recipe) and then add rest of the batter and the remaining topping. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with sugar while hot. TOPPING (for above recipe) : 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. sugar |
